A great new look for the renovated Hakfort car park

The City of Amsterdam started renovating a number of residential car parks in Amsterdam-Zuidoost in 2019. The Hakfort car park was one of these. This somewhat dark and outdated car park has undergone a real metamorphosis, making sure it can now meet today’s wishes and requirements. HTC parking & security was asked to replace the old sliding gate with a modern Speedgate.

The old entrance doors completely obscured the view when they were closed. This situation wasn’t particularly helpful where creating a sense of security for residents and visitors to the car park was concerned. We replaced these old sliding doors with two reliable and safe Xentry 2TP Speedgates, equipped with an open fence and a wicket door. This has given the car park a pleasant, accessible and tidier appearance again. And certainly not unimportant: the solid drive system means this vandal-proof Speedgate can open quickly and silently. Convenient for drivers and very safe.

This project has also once again proven why we at HTC consider good collaborations and coordination with the client and contractor to be so important. The car park’s flooring, on which the construction had to be mounted, was quite thin. This certainly doesn’t need to be a problem, providing we can address it in time. We were able to install the gates without any problems and within the agreed time by using adapted connections to the floor and ceiling. With a fantastic end result and to the full satisfaction of the municipality. We’ll soon be starting on the Speedgates for the nearby Hoptille and Haardstee car parks.
