Sustainability is both a duty and an opportunity<\/h2>

Of course we want to leave the world better for our children than we found it, but at HTC we also see sustainability as a threefold opportunity; both to make better products for our customers, to meet our environmental commitments and to create a future-proof and more profitable business. We have translated this into the concrete goal of zero emissions by 2030. We are working on this under the project name Xentry 0.0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

Working on sustainability starts with insight and accountability. This is why HTC has prepared an LCA of its 3 Speedgate platforms. We are proud to say that we are the first Speedgate supplier to have:
\n– An Environmental Cost Indicator (EQI) for the Xentry 2, Xentry 3 and Xentry STS, these can be viewed on the site of the NMD here<\/a><\/strong>
\n– An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for the Xentry 2, Xentry 3 and Xentry STS, these can be viewed on the site of MRPI here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Carefree use and management<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/i><\/span><\/h3>

Comfortably entering a site won\u2019t just result in a smile, it will also prevent faults or collisions and therefore repairs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

HTC therefore attaches great value and importance to the entrance\u2019s efficient design and structure. We realise this with clear lines and clear LED lighting for waiting or proceeding. We also install posts or islands to guide vehicles and prevent collisions. There\u2019s an app for managers which provides instructions in case a speedgate displays any deviating behaviour. Many \u201cfaults\u201d (polluted photocells, an obstacle) can be resolved locally, which, in turn, will save on servicing trips and delays.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

A sustainable product<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/i><\/span><\/h3>

Making maximum use of materials within their respective functions requires different choices. Making sure a design isn\u2019t purely focussed on efficient production, but also on refurbishing parts and having the option of recycling the structural parts.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Making maximum use of materials within their functions will result in products with a long lifespan. Being able to adapt in line with changing requirements and wishes will thereby certainly become important. Not all parts will have the same lifespan, not even in a \u201clow-maintenance design\u201d. It naturally goes without saying that we want both performance and safety to always be at the same optimal level and this requires a (modular) design whereby parts can be refurbished and reused. HTC is working hard on this.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Smart Service<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/i><\/span><\/h3>

Every product is influenced by its environment and use. Good maintenance reduces the impact of this, guarantees performance and safety levels and subsequently extends the lifespan.<\/strong> However, traditional maintenance also requires a significant amount of servicing. This can be reduced by digitally and remotely monitoring Speedgates 24\/7. This allows for remote diagnoses. You can establish what needs to be maintained and when, which can then be followed up with remote support. All the available data will ultimately also help to develop better products which will have less of an impact on the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t

Solar panels<\/h3>

HTC has more than 1,100 solar panels. This allows us to fully power up the production and office location. The office is heated and cooled with heat pumps.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Hybrid fleet<\/h3>

HTC’s passenger car fleet almost entirely consists of hybrid or electric cars.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Refurbishing parts<\/h3>

HTC isn\u2019t just working on refurbishing and re-using parts for Speedgate as a Service objects, but also for the existing 4000 speedgates which are already out in the field.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n\t\n\n\t
